Tonkin + Taylor is seeking a highly motivated engineer with landfill design and construction experience to join our vibrant team. This full time position is based in our Melbourne office.
In this role you will be involved in landfill design work supported by industry experts. We are looking for someone who is motivated to deliver at a high level and to bring in more work. Your work will include:
- Developing strong working relationships with your existing and new clients across diverse sectors
- Preparation of design drawings and design reports.
- Preparation of technical specification and construction quality assurance plans.
- Conducting field work and field management during construction supervision.
- Providing assistance with the preparation of tenders and proposals.
- Teaching and guiding junior staff.

Given the consultancy nature of our business, you will also need to demonstrate excellent verbal and written skills.
Our preferred candidate will have:
- Bachelor or Masters in Engineering (Civil/ Environmental/Geotechnical).
- 6 - 10 years' experience or more
- Landfill design experience
- Excellent client facing skills
- Strong Business development skills
- Previous experience in earthworks construction and liner deployment will be highly regarded.
- Problem solving skills.
