Civil Drafter - Newcastle
Due to continued growth within the transportation sector our Newcastle Office is currently seeking a talented and experienced Civil Drafter to join our team.  As a member of our highly regarded transportation team you will have the opportunity to use your outstanding drafting skills on many exciting and challenging projects.
 
This role will provide motivated individuals the opportunity to take their career to the next level whilst being part of a high functioning and results driven team.
 
To be considered for this exciting opportunity you should hold a relevant qualification and possess a minimum of 5-10 years experience in the design of road and highway projects and/or general civil works.
 
Key role criteria:

• Excellent level of drafting presentation, using 12D, MX or Civil 3D preferably, and technical understanding
• Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with all levels of staff and management
• A professional history which demonstrates the ability to deliver agreed results
• Sound knowledge and appreciation of Safety and Quality Assurance (QA)
• Experience in delivering projects for RMS, councils and private projects will be highly regarded
• An understanding of, and some experience in, Civil Design practices would be advantageous

Key functions will include:

• Prepare drawings based on technical information provided by project staff
• Assist in the mentoring of trainees and/or junior drafters
• Coordination of drafting work
• Provide checking role for projects, appropriate to your level of experience
• Involvement with drafting group leadership team in regard to quality, training, mentoring and systems/procedures development
