Our client is one of NSW's leading local government entities focusing on innovation and driving performance improvement. The organisation is now seeking to appoint a Manager Roads Operations who will bring new thinking and business strategies to a critical part of Council's operations.
Reporting to the Director Operations, you will work collaboratively with all areas of Council to deliver effective maintenance services across road operations. Specifically you will be responsible for:
- the maintenance of all hard engineering assets including roads, stormwater drains, footpaths and traffic;
- integration and leadership of geographically dispersed teams;
- the development and implementation of business plans and business cases including the review of processes, equipment and technology; and,
- management of landfill.
With relevant qualifications and deep experience in leading diverse engineering and/or maintenance teams, you will bring sound commercial judgement and astute business acumen. High level communication skills, effective decision-making and innovation will be critical to success in this role.
