Transport & Traffic Solutions Pty Ltd provides Transport Planning, Traffic Engineering and Civil Engineering consultancy services. Our clients include private companies and local and state government authorities involved in upgrading existing transport and civil infrastructure, providing new transport and civil infrastructure, redeveloping existing urban sites, and developing new urban sites. 

Our services range from providing strategic advice at the initial planning phase right through to design and delivery of a project for construction.  The range of projects include large-scale residential and industrial developments in growth corridor areas to high density mixed use developments located in inner Melbourne.

T&TS provides the following key services to our clients:

• Transport & traffic impact assessment studies,
• Car parking assessments,
• Transport modelling,
• Traffic and parking surveys,
• Concept, functional layout, and detail designs of unsignalised and signalised intersections and car parks,
• Traffic Signal Designs, and
• Road Safety Audits.

Due to recent growth in our business we are seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer on a fixed term contract or casual position, to join our team.  Depending on performance a permanent contract or full-time position may be offered at the end of the contract term. 

The right candidate will require:

• A Degree in Civil Engineering and minimum five years’ relevant experience ideally gained in the private consultancy industry. 
• A good understanding of the Melbourne market and experience in managing and delivering a wide-range of traffic and transport engineering projects,
• Excellent written and oral communication skills,
• Excellent report writing skills,
• An ability to manage and deliver projects independently with minimal supervision,
• Extensive experience in the preparation of functional layout designs of signalised and unsignalised intersections and car parks, and
• Extensive experience in the detail design of intersections and car parks for construction.

Job tasks may include:

• Undertaking site visits, 
• Preparation of traffic impact assessment and road safety audit reports, and
• Preparation of intersection and car park functional layout plans and detail design drawings.

The following key skills will be highly desirable:

• Excellent communication and report writing skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to liaise with professionals at all levels.
• Use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint software packages.
• Use of AutoCAD, Autodesk Vehicle Tracking and/or MicroStation.
• Use of SIDRA Intersection.
• Knowledge of Austroads Guidelines, Australian Standards and VicRoads Supplements.

Applicants are required to have a current drivers licence, able to start immediately and eligible to work in Australia.

T&TS is located in Brunswick approximately a 2 minute walk from Brunswick Railway Station and 5 minute walk from Sydney Road.
