An exciting opportunity has emerged for an experienced Engineering Manager to join the Operations team based at our Villawood Architectural Coatings manufacturing site.
Reporting to the Site Operations Manager at Villawood, this position is responsible for managing all aspects of engineering at the Villawood. The core purpose of this position is to execute the strategic engineering agenda, which includes developing and delivering the capital agenda and driving reliability improvement.
About You
To ensure success in this role, you will have an extensive background in an operations/manufacturing environment with relevant supervisory experience in engineering, maintenance and site services, within a unionised environment preferred. An understanding of world class manufacturing techniques is preferred as is a higher degree qualification in a relevant engineering discipline
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Proven experience in Project Management
- Ability to drive a performance culture in manufacturing through strong communication
- strong, professional Maintenance & Engineering background
- Experience managing a team and external contractors;
- Clearly demonstrated leadership skills
- Ability to coordinate, motivate and achieve to a budget or plan
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Proven negotiation skills for maintaining a "Win-Win" relationship with suppliers and contractors
- Experience working in fast-paced environments under pressure
