EM Solutions designs and manufactures broadband telecommunications equipment for satellite ground stations and terrestrial microwave links and also does specialised project work. The company has several vacancies in its Manufacturing group for experienced technicians to assist with the assembly, testing and tuning of electronic modules and subsystems.

Main Responsibilities

• Testing and tuning of electronic modules and subsystems in the frequency range from DC to 100GHz
• Accurate documentation and recording of test results
• Fault diagnosis and repair of electronic modules
• Assembly of modules into subsystems and systems
• Identification of design/manufacturing/assembly issues and possible solutions

Key Requirements

1. Certificate or University level qualifications in electronics
2. Sound understanding of telecommunication circuits
3. Problem solving and circuit fault finding experience
4. Experience with manual and automatic test equipment including spectrum analysers, network analysers, digital CROs, power meters etc.
5. Familiarity with computer based instructions, filing, data recording and QA procedures
6. Advanced soldering and mechanical skills would be advantageous
7. Australian Citizen or Permanent Visa status

Position

The position is in the Manufacturing group at EM Solutions and reports to the Operations Manager. The salary is market based and negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Flexibility in work hours is available and the company can provide support for advanced courses/skills training in relevant disciplines.
