  • Seeking multiple Asset Engineers for long term contracts
  • Initial engagement will be 12 months with further extension available
  • Located in Keswick

Our client, a market leader in the power and energy industry is looking to recruit an Asset Engineer. This opportunity has been created due to a growth phase within their infrastructure asset management services division. They are looking for a dynamic and experienced Asset Engineer to join their team on temporary contract; however, this contract will be seen as an ongoing fixture.

Reporting to the Operational Asset Manager, this role will be responsible for providing Asset Management direction, expertise, advice and support to ensure the client delivers on its agreed objectives. The client requires an Electrical or Mechanical Engineer within a regulated industry who is motivated, goal orientated and ready to establish a gratifying long-term career with one of the industry’s best-known organisations in the power sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of the organisation’s engineering standards, policies and guidelines
  • Develop business cases for asset replacement per network requirements
  • Developing, implementing, monitoring and reporting of key asset management system documents; Asset management policy, strategic asset management plan and asset management plans
  • Contribute to the development of asset life cycle strategies
  • Assist with preparing technical specifications, recommendations and engineering reports
  • Support evaluation and approval of new network assets
  • Communicate policies and procedures to key stakeholders and service providers
  • Ensuring agreed levels are met, including ongoing monitoring, auditing and reporting

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • 2+ years’ experience of working in a regulated industry (utility background advantageous)
  • Mature analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships working as a team player
  • Effective communication, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Experience with SAP preferable - other Record management systems will be considered
