The Role

As the Process Safety Asset Engineer, you will work as part of a team to deliver and drive the technical safety improvements across sewerage treatment assets. You will take a leading role in the development and implementation of asset management processes and risk assessment and management techniques particularly those related to management regimes for Major Hazard Facilities. You will also be required to develop and implement strategic asset management plans, initiate minor and major capital renewal works, and review and update scheduled maintenance programs and instructions.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience and/or knowledge of asset management processes and risk assessment and management techniques particularly those related to management regimes for Major Hazard Facilities. This includes Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM), Semi-Quantitative Risk Assessments (SQRA), Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA), Safety Integrity Levels (SIL) & MHF legal & regulatory compliance.
  • Experience and knowledge in development and implementation of asset management and information systems process and systems (MAXIMO).
  • Experience and knowledge of project planning, management and business case preparation.
  • Experience in critically analyzing solution options and associated financials. (eg NPV, construction estimates)
  • Experience and knowledge of operational complexities within process plants.
  • Proven ability to identify risk reduction opportunities.

Your ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders is required together with a qualification in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
