Seeking an experienced Principal/Senior Drainage Engineer to work for our talented client in Melbourne's CBD.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a large Victorian infrastructure team who specialise in the design of roads, rail, bridges, drainage and civil engineering works. Due to recent project wins and a strong pipeline of work this Asia Pacific consultancy are keen to expand their team.

The Role

This position will see you providing technical input into the delivery of detailed design and tender designs across major transport projects by demonstrating expertise in hydraulic and hydrologic design principals and procedures.
 
A key component of this role will be forming strong customer relationships, demonstrating an ability to understand their core business needs and ensure that services meet their expectations.

The chosen candidate will need to have previous mentoring experience. Progressing and motivating others and ensuring that the team works collectively to meet project deliverables is key.

• Chartered or near chartered in Civil Engineering
• Strong track record in the successful delivery of design and construction of road drainage projects in the consulting space
• Proven, industry-based design skills using DRAINS and or 12D Drainage
• HEC-RAS and MUSIC knowledge preferred
• Experience with Tuflow, HEC-HMS or DHI suite desirable
• Strong background of the Australian Market including Austroads drainage guidelines and Australian standards

While the estimated salary for the role is approximately $130,000 to $150,000, there is flexibility and each application will be treated individually.
