The Company
Ozcon Engineering, located in Dalby, Queensland, is a market leader in the manufacture and supply of line pipe and casing to the mining and oil and gas sectors. Ozcon Engineering offers a comprehensive and high quality pipe processing facility with extensive machine shop and general metal engineering capabilities supported by thread gauging and inspection services.
The Position
We seek a Sales Engineer/Draftsman where the successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Dealing directly with clients on projects to understand technical requirements and translate these requirements to drawings.
- Use your learned knowledge of the Ozcon product range and existing solutions to offer to clients.
- Furnish drawing packs for all orders and correspond with production for an effective handover from the sales department.
- Review, update and add to the Ozcon Controlled Drawing Register.
- From time to time, sale generation and maintenance tasks will be required as well as some travel to customer and supplier locations (local, statewide and interstate).
The Ideal Candidate:
- Hold a Bachelor of Engineering – Mechanical Engineering or be able to demonstrate a high level of experience
- Experience with Solidworks and PDM Vault is essential and evidence of participating in professional Solidworks training is required
- Minimum of 5 years practically applying your education and using Solidworks on a daily basis (minimum of 3 days per week)
- Minimum of 3 years experience in working in a manufacturing business supplying products or equipment for the oil and gas industry
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Intermediate or Advanced computer literacy skills essential especially with the Microsoft Office suite of products
