Our Graduate Program
We were excited to have our first graduates start with Cement Australia this year. In 2019, we are looking forward to our next intake joining the team. We recognise the value graduates can add to a business and have designed our program to provide you with the foundation you need to become a potential future leader.
Over 2 years you will complete 3 rotations, spending your time across different sites and locations. You will be given day-to-day responsibilities, project work and both structured and on-the-job learning. We will connect you with mentors and provide opportunities to network with other graduates in the industry. As a future leader of our business, it is important to us that you do "real work" and therefore you'll be exposed to the full cycle of our operations.
As a Mechanical Engineer
Joining our Operations division, you will provide technical and engineering support to the site maintenance team. This includes identifying and managing risks, condition monitoring, problem solving issues and contributing to maintenance planning and execution. For project work you will gain experience in continuous improvement, capital projects and shutdown work, with the potential to enhance your leadership skills and supervise small teams. You will develop your understanding of the maintenance and asset management life cycle and make a valuable contribution to our sites.

Our sites are located across the eastern seaboard of Australia and include two integrated cement plants (mine to product), two further cement milling operations, a coal mine and a large dedicated distribution network.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering
- Ability and willingness to contribute to a positive safety culture
- Experience working in a team environment
- Great communication and interpersonal skills

- Inquisitive nature and a positive attitude
- Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise
- Ability to travel for work and relocate for each rotation
