The Company we're working with is an established Melbourne-based company with a global presence. They design & manufacture instrumentation for the Scientific, Medical and Environmental industries.
Opportunity
Join their in-house Research and Development team working on automating part of the production process.
Challenges
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys the challenge of special purpose machinery building from concept to prototype stage!
Innovative problem solving skills will be needed as you provide PLC program modification and optimisation (Omron PLC) and hands-on build support to the team. In other words, they need someone to get it built, run it and work the problems out.
What you will bring
- Enthusiasm for engineering challenges.
- Qualification in Electronics/Electrical/Mechatronics/Automation or equivalent
- Omron PLC troubleshooting and integration experience
- Electromechanical skills; cabling, installing stepper motor controllers and testing
- Electronics troubleshooting to component level & C++ assembler knowledge would be awesome.
