Our client is a global Renewable Energy company with an established presence locally with national projects delivered across Solar, Wind and Battery Storage. Due to growth of the business, we are recruiting for motivated Engineering & Technology based graduates where you are responsible for the effective continuous monitoring of the remote renewable energy assets.
Your key role responsibilities include:
- Monitoring & control of assets via SCADA systems;
- Monitoring market actions and activities of assets via provided IT Systems;
- Under defined guidelines and procedures, re-bidding in the energy market and monitoring dispatch solutions to optimise dispatch outcomes;
- Interfacing with Transmission and Network Service Providers (TNSP), AEMO and other applicable entities, regarding asset outages, generation constraints or specific production/network conditions;
- Continuous improvement of Control Centre systems, functions and procedures to deliver increased performance based on KPI’s;
- Contributing and production of routine operational reports;
- Monitoring weather forecast systems and issuing alerts, handling emergency calls from asset personnel or other stakeholders;
- Liaising with IT support to manage the availability of essential software & hardware systems;
- Working with Asset/Engineering Managers to ensure safe operation of assets at all times;
- Liaising with Maintenance Contractors to maximise availability as directed by the Asset Manager
- Support the 24/7/365 shift rotation.
As a graduate (Engineering, Science, Technology, or similar), your experience in a control centre or trading environment with superior skills in VBA & Excel required and strong data analysis skills with ability to communicate these effectively to key stakeholders. You are a team player and can demonstrate critical attention to detail following strict compliance procedures, and motivated to deliver a first-class professional Monitoring and Control service for major assets infrastructure.
You are comfortable working in this nature of environment under continuous operational pressure and ability to concentrate for extended periods of time. This role will require to work under shift rotations including day, night and weekends which is mandatory. Remuneration is indicated at $60-75K; and is the entry point in the organisation to other career opportunities based on performance and capability.
