Strategic Asset Engineer
Permanent, Full – Time, 70 hours per fortnight
Salary Range = $79,725.83 - $100,666.91 per annum (subject to skills and experience)

The Business Unit
Transport and Civil Infrastructure is responsible for the provision, management and maintenance of urban infrastructure and the delivery of transport, traffic and urban infrastructure services. Transport and Civil Infrastructure has both internal and external clients and provides service across a range of functional areas
The Role and Responsibilities
The role of the Strategic Asset Engineer - Roads is to assist the Manager in the strategic direction, co-ordination, development and implementation of road infrastructure asset management. The Transport & Civil Infrastructure (TCI) Assets team effectively acts as the ‘client’ for all road and transport related assets within the remit of Northern Beaches Council. As such this role is responsible for implementing the overarching strategic intent of how Council manages its Road assets.
Selection Criteria
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering or related discipline
- Experience in the implementation and use of Asset Management Systems
- Demonstrated experience in applying asset management principles associated with construction, maintenance and/or operations of road network (and / or linear) assets
- Demonstrated experience in project and time management
- Commitment to continuous improvement which results in positive change/s in the workplace and service delivery
