Our Perth Geotechnical group has an exciting opportunity for a mid-level Pavement Geotechnical Engineer to join the team on a full-time basis.

This role will suit an individual who enjoys fieldwork, is flexible with travelling to regional sites and has an interest in pavement design and construction. This role will provide you with excellent technical challenges on diverse projects and the opportunity to work closely with other talented professionals committed to delivering high quality geotechnical engineering services.
 
You will primarily be responsible for:
  • Carrying out assignments/ projects under the general direction of more senior engineers;
  • Assisting with project planning and deliverables of technical complexity;
  • Coordinating and conducting geotechnical and pavement investigations;
  • Interpreting geotechnical data, performing analysis and drawing recommendations;
  • Performing empirical and mechanistic pavement designs;
  • Seal designs;
  • Preparing design reports, proposals and other deliverables;
  • Maintaining client contact and customer liaison;
  • Participating in selecting methodology and in preparing costs estimations for proposals; and
  • Supervising work of technicians and junior professional staff on site and in the office.
To be successful, you will have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering or equivalent as a minimum with several  years’ of relevant industry experience in geotechnical and pavement engineering. It is expected that you will have strong written and verbal communication skills, good interpersonal skills and an enthusiasm for fieldwork.
