FGS is a significant supplier of glass and hardware to the frameless glass industry, servicing both residential and commercial applications.
Together with your engineering qualifications and at least 3 years’ experience, you will have a strong focus on business development and demonstrated capabilities in achieving outstanding results through meeting sales targets and customer needs. These opportunities will be enhanced with the FGS in house design team and on site test lab for product design and innovation.
Being a sales focused role which involves interaction with customers, suppliers and engineering firms, you will have well-developed negotiation skills, excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), and a commercial mind set. Applicants with sales experience in the doors/windows installation industry or glazing industry would be very well regarded.
You will also need the following technical skills:
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals
- Appreciation of buildings, both domestic and commercial including structural facades
- Comprehension of Australian Standards AS1170, AS1288
- Ability to read manufacturing drawings
- CAD, with some 3D with FEA preferred
- General computer skills, Microsoft Outlook, Excel.
