Bossong Engineering Pty Ltd is an advanced manufacturing and service company based in a modern facility in Welshpool, Western Australia, 10 minutes from the Perth CBD.

The company provides engineering, welding, fitting and machining solutions to customers in the Oil & Gas and Mining industries.

The business provides both maintenance and manufacturing services.

We would like to employ an Planner, Estimator with vision and value similar to that of our company, innovative and passionate about their roll, contributing to our collective success of our Engineering, Sales, Production and Procurement personnel. 

Your role:

• Quote new and repeat manufacturing and maintenance jobs.
• Obtain competitive prices from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Setup manufacturing and maintenance BOMs.
• Receive and Process customer orders.
• Raise works orders, compile and issue supporting documentation.
• Compile drawings and specifications for suppliers and subcontractors.
• Issue Picking lists and perform inventory transactions.
• Monitor and Manage production schedules, reporting possible order due date conflicts to production and sales staff.
• Communicate jobs status to customers as required.
• Check and close finished jobs.
• Compile and index material and testing certificates.

The ideal candidate:

• Will have performed a similar function for at least 5 years.
• Is confident, a team player and has a sense of urgency.
• Can challenge the status quo, and implement measurable improvements .
• Must be very accurate in their work and have good computer skills.
• Should have worked in an ISO compliant company before.
• Must be able to take ownership of the position.
• Tertiary qualifications in estimating and/or production planning would be highly regarded.
• Previous experience with Syteline ERP or similar software would be highly regarded.
• Should have a good understanding of the engineering services industry and have an understanding of the value base of different services.
• Excellent computer skills - Microsoft Excel etc
• Be able to react quickly to our customers needs and deliver exceptional service
