Monadelphous’ Maintenance and Industrial Services division has extensive experience in delivering comprehensive, multidisciplinary maintenance and improvement solutions to customers in the mining, oil and gas, energy, petro-chemical, marine, infrastructure and construction sectors across Australia.
A new opportunity has opened-up for an experienced Project Engineer to work at our Karratha Workshop on a 5/2 4/3 FIFO Roster ex Perth. Working in a high-pressure environment, you will be responsible for SMP, Minor Civils and Marine projects ranging in value from $50 to $500K. You will work closely with Supervision and be the main point of contact with the Client, as such, this role will suit enthusiastic and organised individuals who have strong communication skills and enjoy a challenge.
The responsibilities of the position include:
- Project engineering role delivering sustaining capital and maintenance projects
- Project estimation and tender submission
- Provide the supervision team with technical assistance during project execution, including drawing interpretation, standards, regulations and client procedures
- Engage and manage subcontractors from multiple disciplines
- Act as a client representative for commercial and technical queries
The successful candidate will:
- Be degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline
- Marine exposure highly desireable
- Experience in 'Bulk Materials Handling' highly desireable (Conveyors/ Stackers/ Crushers/ Ship Loaders)
- Have strong communication skills & the ability to lead and coordinate a team as well as develop & maintain effective relationships with the client
- Have experience in a Brownfield Mining environment, ideally Iron Ore Materials Handling
- Value their team and have a strong focus on safety
- Be experienced with Microsoft Project and/ or Primavera P6 experience
- Possess the ability to manage project budgets and drive revenue
