Your New Employer is the local arm of an international design and construction consortium. The Australian arm is a leader in civil engineering design work for road, rail and mining projects and operates in Australia, New Zealand and throughout parts of SEAsia. Due to an increase in their workload, a position has become available for an experienced Civil Design Engineer for the Upper North Shore office.
In your new role, you will join an experienced team and be involved in structural concrete design for a multitude of applications including rail and road bridges, retaining walls, highways, tunnels and dams in transportation, mining and infrastructure industries. You will design using CAD and FEA tools and have support from your drafting team.
You will be a skilled design engineer with at least 5 years valuable experience in civil, geotechnical and structural engineering design and have a solid knowledge of soil mechanics and foundation design. Strong design exposure to standards such as AS5100 and AS3600 / 1480 would be beneficial to this role. Experience with documentation writing and spreadsheets are important also.
It is expected that you will be Degree qualified. Post degree accreditations such as Grad Diploma/Masters will be highly regarded. CPEng or ability to obtain is also requisite.
