In this challenging position based at our new Kwinana Beach Facility, you will be primarily responsible for providing engineering support and assisting in all aspects of our Off Line Recovery Plant (OLRP) to ensure safety, production and budgetary targets are achieved.

Reporting to the Kwinana State Engineer, you will also be responsible for;
- Initially having a hands on approach ensuring machine efficiency is paramount,
- Supervising the day to day OLRP operators ensuring compliance with Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality requirements,
- Demonstrating a high level of safety leadership within the OLRP team,
- Meet daily production targets and monitor production data to ensure the OLRP is operating as per design standards,
- Analyse production data and recommend ways to improve Zorba yields in consultation with Yard Manager and State Engineer,
- Driving cultural change amongst the OLRP team and ensuring a high level of employee engagement through communication and exceptional leadership qualities.
To be successful in this role you will be a proven leader and a self-motivated person who has excellent interpersonal and people management skills, as well as in depth scheduling, planning and time management skills.
Knowledge and understanding of scrap metal processing techniques and metal sorting is preferred. A tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering would be an advantage and will be highly regarded.
