GHD’s Toowoomba Civil Infrastructure team has a reputation of being industry leaders and respected for our professional approach and integrity. Our team delivers professional services in the areas of Subdivisional Land Development, Roads and Highways Projects along with other Civil Infrastructure Projects.

The Role

GHD has a unique opportunity for a Civil 12D Designer to join our high-performing, multi-disciplinary team based in Toowoomba. In addition to playing a key role in the technical side of our business, you will contribute to the ongoing development of our Toowoomba practice by way of providing engineering services on a diverse range of civil infrastructure projects.

This role offers real prospect for growth through opportunities for direct client contact, construction site visits, project management and development of your business acumen – when you are ready. Could this be you? As a member of the team, you will bring extensive experience in highway and road design projects for DTMR, Regional Councils, Municipal, and/or Local Authorities. You will demonstrate a high level of proficiency in the use of current design software packages (e.g. AutoCAD, 12D). Your primary responsibilities in this role will be to provide a high level of technical input, coordinate and manage project design teams, and to support and mentor less experienced design staff.

Your highly developed communication skills, both oral and written, open communication style and strong skills as a team player are essential in this role, as is your understanding and ability to work with relevant Australian Standards. This is a rare opportunity for you to apply and develop your technical skillset whilst working with a collaborative and multi-discipline team of skilled engineers.
