About the role:

Interflow are seeking a confident, highly organised and enthusiastic Operational Excellence Training Manager to join our dedicated Product Development & Technical Services team based in Girraween. This role includes mentoring Technical Service Officers and assisting the team in developing technical excellence throughout Interflow processes.

This newly created role will centralise the reporting structure of all the Technical Service Officers under one division, with all team members dedicated to the operational excellence of training and upskilling field employees as well as driving continuous improvement projects. This role will see you predominantly developing and implementing Skills Matrix, KPIs and SOPs that will assist the Technical Service Officers in training processes.

To be successful, you will need to be motivated and can demonstrate your capability in developing training strategies for the Technical Service Officers on training.   

Role Responsibilities:

  • Mentoring Technical Service Officers
  • Develop reporting matrix of KPIs for the Technical Service Officers
  • Develop and implement training systems
  • Improving SOPs based on Technical/Quality/Safety/Environmental requirements
  • Use of logic and methods to solve problems with effective solutions
  • Drive Operational Excellence across all aspects of training functions
  • Structure and improve the skills matrix of Technical Service Officers to ensure skills coverage for all Interflow processes
  • Design training plans for improving Technical Service Officer’s skillsets
  • Work with product development team to improve technical knowledge of the technical Service Officers

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • A relevant degree in an engineering discipline (Civil, Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Aeronautical, etc.)
  • Has experience in management, mentoring and training departments in similar engineering industries
  • Preferred experience to pipeline rehabilitation solutions for water and sewer industry
  • Preferred previous exposure to metals and mining sectors, tunneling industry and oil and gas industries
  • Six Sigma Black or Green belt preferred
  • Exposure to “Lean” operating principles
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • High level literacy in Microsoft services
