Senior project engineer needed for a six week contract, working on high density pavement construction for the Port Hedland Port Authority. The project will commence at the beginning of August with possible extension.
Client Details
The client we represent specialise in civil construction delivery, particularly in land development, infrastructure & resource industries. They have a long history operating across WA and have successfully completed major road, earthwork, port infrastructure and airport projects. Over the last eight years the company has been more active in the Perth metro area, getting involved in major projects such as highway intersections, inner harbours, stadiums & forum redevelopments.
Description
As Senior Project Engineer your main responsibilities will be around time management and ensuring daily targets are met. You will also be responsible for supervising a team of 15-20 personal as well as giving sub-contractors direction & mentoring.
Other key duties will be:
- Ensure all construction meets the required quality standards
- Developing QA/QC procedures, testing & construction plans
- Achieving safety targets and having zero tolerance of unsafe practices and occurrences
- Monitor contractor performance & identify emerging issues
Profile
The successful applicant with have:
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering
- Background working for civil contractors
- Managed pavement, road, earthworks, drainage & pipeline projects
- Supervised teams of engineers & contractors on site
- Familiar with QA/QC procedures for similar construction work
- Available to commence work in 4/5 weeks time
Must have full working rights in Australia
