We are seeking a skilled Product Engineer to join a leading manufacturing company. Working within a tight knit design and development group you will be responsible for assisting in making a range of new products and concepts a reality. Focusing on Injection Moulded plastic products for a range of household storage applications you will play a key role in commercialisation of concepts. Position duties include:
- Design of plastic products for injection moulding (SoilidWorks and Rhinoceros 3D).
- Troubleshoot design and tooling issues.
- Development of product prototypes
- Assist managing production groups and troubleshoot product issues.
Ideally you will be a skilled Engineer with a proven history of product design and delivery within a manufacturing environment. Consumer and/or injection moulded products are a must. Additionally, you will be a skilled project and stakeholder manager with the ability to deliver multiple projects across internal and external manufacturing groups.
Coupled with your project and stakeholder skills, you will have excellent commercial, organisation and proactive communication skills as well as the ability to work with cross functional design teams.
Excellent skills with SolidWorks, Rhinoceros 3D and an understanding of 3D Printing will be advantageous.
