About the business
We provide services to identify and implement energy efficiency and renewable energies into organisations. Starting from the basic low hanging fruit and behavioral opportunities identified through our unique sub-metering services we then progress to more challenging and capital intensive projects, but always focused on pragmatic and cost effective solutions that work for the individual customers.
About the role
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to work in energy efficiency, you will gain significant experience in a short space of time across a wide range of aspects of the industry. This is advertised as a short term contract, however there are likely to be many other opportunities that pop up during the course of this period.
The client company currently spends in the region of $25M on energy across their facilities and they are targeting a reduction of 10% across their portfolio. WSM has been engaged to deliver the energy efficiency strategy and if all goes to plan assist in the implementation.
The role will include:
- Significant data analysis
- Communications with stakeholders ranging from air-conditioning contractors and electricians to senior management
- Compilation of data analysis and Report writing
- Technology reviews

Skills and experience
The successful candidate should have:
- Strong data analytics skills
- Good technical knowledge of technologies including HVAC, PFC, LEDs (ideally tertiary education in a relevant field)
- Excellent communicator (both written and verbal). You would be expected to liaise with technical and management personnel
- Self starter. This is often thrown into job adverts, but in this case it is a necessity, this role will not suit somebody that needs to be told what to do every step of the way. We're looking for initiative and someone that relishes taking on responsibility.
- A desire to develop a career in working with businesses to reduce their energy usage
