About the role:

This Senior Technical Advisor position provides technical expertise and leadership within the Corporation’s Operations Group and acts as an advisor to asset managers and other key stakeholders on operational and asset issues.

What the role will offer:

  • Diagnosing operational strategic and tactical business needs in relation to Asset Management proactively and ensure effective plans and detailed actions are in place and delivered, including clear links with Operational Excellence, KPIs, budgets and MOS forecasts.
  • Engage with the Operations Performance teams, detail and review resourcing, schedules, risk management, finance, projected outcomes and measures of success to determine the most effective strategies to build Operational Excellence.
  • Deliver strategic and tactical initiatives in relation to Asset Management. Includes structuring the work plan of the team and ensuring delivery of a quality product in a timely manner.
  • Participate in Asset Planning Group strategic and tactical initiatives on behalf of Operations Performance. Assist in coordination of information and responses from the wider Operations Group.
  • Build and lead internal project teams and manage resources, directly and indirectly
  • Ensure activities comply with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, corporate policy, procedures and standards
  • Develop and maintain effective formal relationships with Process Managers and key stakeholders across the Corporation, working towards delivering business outcomes.

 

Key skills and experience:

  • Degree level qualified in a relevant field and/or 5 years relevant experience
  • Considerable experience in the planning, design, acquisition or operational delivery of Asset Investment programs
  • Knowledge and understanding of work practices and systems relevant to asset investment planning
  • Experience in planning and progressing work activities within general guidelines, using initiative and judgement to deliver outcomes
  • Proven ability to build strategic relationships across the business and to use networks effectively to facilitate broad support
