About the role:

We have an opportunity for an experienced Instrumentation & Control Engineer to join our Adelaide Energy & Resources team and play a part in the technical delivery of a large number of projects.  This position is one based on the growth of our business in Adelaide and will also support work across other regions of Australia.  Our recent growth has been focused around Aurecon’s involvement in South Australia’s Renewables, Power Generation and Utilities transformation.

To be successful in this position you will be a qualified engineer (Computer Sciences, Electrical, Electronic, Instrument & Control or Mechatronics).  Technical design experience from either the energy, utilities or heavy industry sector will be ideal and allow you to jump straight into the position.

The requirements of the position will include:

  • Experience in renewables and power generation
  • Competence in specification, designing, configuring and commissioning of SCADA, PLC, DCS, and RTU systems
  • Working knowledge of automation standards such as IEC 61850 & IEC 61131
  • Working knowledge of AS 3814 Type B compliance and Functional Safety IEC 61511 within Power Generation industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to work independently
