The opportunity

You will be an experienced Engineering Construction professional with 10+ years’ experience, preferably in an environmental management or engineering services consultancy, looking to take the next step to cement your upward career trajectory. Reporting to the Group Manager Water, this role is responsible for all aspects of design, construction and commissioning, including safety, on time and budget delivery for assigned Stantec projects.

Key accountabilities for this role include:

  • Manage on-site construction team to ensure safe, on time, on budget delivery of all on-site construction and commissioning in line with contractually agreed and performance requirements
  • Manage on-site activities involving suppliers and sub-contractors
  • Assist in reporting on all aspects of project delivery status, including safety, quality, environment, construction and installation progress, cost performance and contract administration both internally and with clients through attendance at meetings and written reports in agreed formats
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining full range of project controls regimes
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with the client to ensure successful delivery of the project
  • Assist in establishing, maintaining and leading a safe work culture with no harm to people, property or the environment

                                   

You will be tertiary-qualified and Chartered Engineering practitioner and/or construction manager with significant experience in construction, design and management techniques, experience with Design/Construct delivery method is highly desirable. You will have a high level of interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external clients, paired with strongly developed commercial acumen to manage contracts, contractors and overall project delivery.
