AMSA has an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to manage operations at our facilities in Perth, Western Australia.Visa sponsorship will be considered for our ideal candidate, if required. 

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the role provides leadership to a central team focused on driving operational excellence in service delivery and cost management.


Your new role includes responsibilities for overseeing all day to day operations including, but not limited to, delivering a high level of customer service whilst managing costs, quality compliance and resource management.

Safety is paramount and you will ensure that all operations are carried out with safety at the forefront of everything you do. 

You will also take charge of:

  • Developing a strategic approach which leads to step change & continuous improvement;
  • Bench-marking to identify process and performance gaps at a station level;
  • Developing client networks that result in additional Airline servicing opportunities;
  • Driving operational improvement plans


About You:

You will be an experienced maintenance engineer who has had several years' experience in a leadership position in the aviation maintenance industry managing diverse teams in challenging environments.  You will have a proven ability to manage and control the financial performance of an operation.   

You may be required to work flexible hours, including weekends and have the ability to travel within Australia and internationally if required. This role will require you to exercise your certifying authority from time to time in support of the operational needs of your station. 

To be successful you will have functioned in a similar leadership role and:

  • Hold a recognised CASA or EASA B1 license with at least some, or all, of the following type ratings:

                - A380; A330; A320

                - B787; B777; B737

  • Have spent 5 years' or more working in line maintenance and possess an in-depth knowledge of line maintenance operations and  requirements;
  • Have a proven track record managing change, particularly relating to people and process;
  • Be commercially astute with a keen eye for business growth opportunities;
  • Display a depth of experience in industrial relations, human resources and operational analysis;
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills to complement your aptitude for managing internal and external customer relations;
  • Display a sound understanding of Australian and International regulatory requirements

 

In addition you will:

  • Be eligible to hold Australian ASIC;
  • Posses a valid state driver's licence; 
  • Have the right to legally work in Australia - Visa sponsorship will be considered for the right candidate
  • Have a willingness to work a flexible schedule. 

Highly Regarded:

  • Possess tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline;
