Your new role
The Principal Traffic and Infrastructure Technology Systems works within our Infrastructure Services Group and is responsible for Council’s traffic management and infrastructure technology systems, including traffic signals, parking operations, road lighting, intelligent transport systems, alternative energy and other technologies, as well as related approvals and customer enquiries.
This role gives the right person the opportunity to blend their technical experience and customer service skills in a dynamic engineering environment, as well as being able to demonstrate their talent for leading a team to perform at a high level to deliver results.
What you’ll need to succeed
We are looking for a person who ideally has experience in traffic management and/or infrastructure technology with a good understanding of how to apply this technical experience, as well as how to mentor and lead other professionals to develop their own experience in this area. It is critical that you can demonstrate that you have a high level of customer service skills and that you understand the importance of building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
The ideal person would be an enthusiastic, experienced traffic management/infrastructure technology professional who is tertiary qualified and able to demonstrate that they have the skills to lead a professional team.

The base salary range for this position is $98,303.70 - $110,942.71 gross per annum plus a restricted private use vehicle, 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.4% superannuation.
