Due to growth in our workload in the area of Functional Safety and System Safety Assurance across the sectors of Process Industries, Mining Machinery and Rail Transportation, we seek applications from qualified and experienced senior engineers who have the following attributes:
- An engineering degree (with a focus upon industrial control systems, system safety and/or safety assurance).
- Previous experience in the design, maintenance or operations of control systems in an industrial or rail environment.
- Previous experience in regard to rail safety assurance requirements and documentation compliant with the EN 50126/128/129 standards. OR.
- Previous experience in the area of machinery safety, and able to show working knowledge of AS/NZS 4024.1-2014 in regards to control and interlocking system requirements. OR.
- Previous experience in regard to design, specification, verification, validation or auditing of functional safety systems for the process industries, according to AS IEC 61511 and/or AS 61508.
- The ability to clearly communicate in spoken and written English.
- Experience in the MS Office suite of products with a high degree of computer proficiency.
- The right to live and work in Australia.

The role is a contract/casual one with a duration of 12 to 24 months (12 month contract term). The work is mostly Perth-metro based, though some WA site based visits may be required. We are small company working in a niche area. We operate from an office in the Perth CBD. We work with major mining companies and engineering houses to determine safety requirements, assess and analyse designs and verify and audit management processes. This role is a key part of our delivery of those services.
