We offer more than 400 courses, from VCE/VCAL/VETiS, through to nationally accredited qualifications such as certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas, degrees, graduate certificates, graduate diplomas and short courses.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are delivering training in three different courses wihtin ten colleges throughout China and are seeking teachers with excellent credentials to deliver competencies from one or more of the following courses;
UET50212 - Diploma of ESI Power Systems
UEE62011 - Advanced Diploma of Engineering Technology - Renewable Energy
22229VIC - Diploma of Engineering Technology - Mechatronics
You will be accountable for providing an opportunity for our Chinese students to gain an international qualification through your teaching excellence. Your primary focus will be on learner support, teaching delivery and learning assessment, resource development and educational administration.
Your key accountabilities will be to:
- Plan education practices and delivery sessions that reflect the most effective way to engage learners
- Proactively support the effective use of Institute learning resources and meet student needs by increasing the use of blended learning options, workplace or offsite delivery and mobile technologies
- Demonstrate confidence and flexibility to manage the cultural challenges within the overseas teaching assignment.
- Understand and empathise a cultural awareness and sensitivity for the country’s values where the teaching is required.
- Design and develop teaching and learning resources including tailored materials in a range of formats to suit varying learning styles
- Improve the quality of teaching and learning through a student based approach and adaptive curriculum
- Adapt teaching materials to meet industry needs and specific tailored programs
- Collaborate and develop key partnerships with industry bodies and employers to renew educational delivery practices and materials
You will have a relevant qualification in Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) (mandatory) with a Diploma in VET Practice (desirable). You will also have vocational competency and industry currency in the relevant disciplines of Electrotechnology, Electronics or Engineering.
Crucial to your success will be your proven track record in planning programs, learning materials and teaching delivery plans as well as skills in transferring knowledge while having a strong understanding of contemporary approaches to education and learning.
You are a highly motivated professional who is able to motivate and guide students to optimise their learning outcomes. You will also have some international experience whether professional or personal time spent abroad in other cultures. You will embrace different cultures and backgrounds to ensure engagement and collegiality with all teaching members and students while on overseas assignments
