Vipac Engineers & Scientists Ltd is a multidisciplinary consultancy firm specialising in engineering dynamics, systems engineering, testing, and measurement.
Our Sydney office is seeking an acoustic consultant to join our Building, Infrastructure and Environmental team.

The role would require client oriented management of multiple projects from start to completion and technical guidance to the broader team.

The following skills and attributes will be necessary to perform this role:

• Experience as a consultant in building and environmental acoustics
• Tertiary degree in engineering or physics         
• Experience in the use of noise modelling software (SoundPLAN, EASE, Odeon, etc)
• Vibration analysis (structural & mechanical)
• Demonstrate a high standard of competency in communication (verbal, reading and writing
• Self-motivated in expanding your knowledge of acoustics and participating in the training of junior staff  
• A motivated self-starter with enthusiasm to learn and attention to detail
• A keen interest in developing business in a competitive environment
• A member of the UK IOA or AAS ( or eligible to become a member)
• A drivers licence.

Your day to day responsibilities will include:

• Manage projects
• Undertake site/building noise assessments using appropriate instrumentation and methods
• Undertake site/building noise assessments using modelling software
• Write reports and make recommendations based on site/building noise assessments
• Undertake design of acoustic solutions for sites/buildings
