The Role
As a result of a significant project pipeline, AECOM’s Resources, Power and Industry Business has an opportunity for experienced Senior Mechanical Engineers based in Newcastle to support the successful completion of a range of projects across the region.
Working as part of a dynamic, consulting environment, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects within the Resources and Industrial fields, with a current focus on the underground mine infrastructure space.
Our team of industry experts and network of technical specialists will support the development of your technical and project management capabilities, giving you the opportunity to support project delivery to a broad range of clients and industry sectors. Working across mining, minerals processing, chemicals and defence will give you a broad exposure and help build your career.
About You
- 5+ years’ relevant professional experience;
- Strong experience in the design and specification of industrial piping systems, pumps and rotating equipment;
- Experience working in a dynamic, consulting environment
- Experience in managing projects and budgets to meet time and resource requirements
You will be agile in your approach, with the ability to move into projects at short notice and deliver high-quality work output will be essential. This role may assist with preparing proposals and presentations to clients for business development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering – Essential;
- Mining Industry /Heavy Industry experience – Essential;
- RPEQ – Preferred
