Our clientOur client is a well-known global specialist for photovoltaic system technology, and because of the growth of the renewable energy industry, they are expanding across Australia.
The role
The Service Technician is responsible for supplying industry leading first and second level technical support and customer service for the company’s products in the Australian region. These responsibilities include assisting with commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing, and analysing of Low Voltage and Off‐Grid PV systems via phone, email and face-to-face communications.
Key responsibilities
- Maintains the highest safety standards in the workplace and on-site.
- Troubleshoots, repairs, and analyses the company’s inverters via email, telephone and when required site visits.
- Ensures a high level of customer satisfaction while striving to lower the costs of service.
- Maintains a detailed knowledge of the company’s String inverter, Off Grid, Communication products, associated accessories, and any third-party accessories sold by the company along with the products.
- Maintains a working knowledge of relevant standards to solar PV installations.
- Documents service cases and carries out warranty replacements.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or Solar Engineering, CEC Accreditation is highly favoured.
- Broad experience in a customer service role for technical products. (Experience in either communication Networking, Power Systems, or Power Electronics is strongly preferred.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal. A second language is desirable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to analyse and solve problems effectively including conflict management skills.
The role will be a 12-month’s fixed term contract, with opportunity to extend to a permanent role for high performance achiever. In return, the company will offer plenty of training activities for you to grow your technical profile as well as platform to progress your career in the solar industry.
