CIVIL PROJECT MANAGER | TMR project

Company & Role:
Our client is a large Mid-Tier civil contractor developing and delivering major civil / road infrastructure projects in QLD. They are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager who has delivered TMR projects up to $80m. You will ideally have been involved with delivering large-scale road upgrade works with a reputable contractor and will be supporting the Civil Infrastructure team based in Brisbane.
As the PM, you will be managing and controlling all aspects of the project including H&S, Commercial & Contractual Aspects, overall programming of the works, staffing and building of the team, and management of the staff to meet project objectives. Ability to ensure program delivery within the required period and budget is essential.
The successful candidate will bring to the role:
- Ensure Program delivery within the required time frame and budget
- Provide and ensure system documentation approvals
- Ensure & manage procurement schedule and documentation
- Ensure program conflict resolution
- Provide advice on constructability during planning and construction works
- Ensure that design reviews are delivered in a timeous & cost efficient manner
- Manage the subcontractors and ensure the correct tracking of completed contract works, tracking of variations on completed works, issuing of reports.
- Approve design changes to achieve program delivery
Your experience must include working on significant road, road infrastructure and earthworks projects in QLD with the following:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- Project Management qualifications are ideal
- Strong technical knowledge and excellent works scheduling/ programming capability
- Ability to articulate understanding of commercial implications on civil projects
- Able to demonstrate strong roads based project portfolio of $25m+ contracts
- Minimum 10+ years main roads construction experience delivering highway main roads projects up to $70m
- If you hold your RPEQ this will be an advantage
