ABOUT THE ROLE
RCR Tomlinson is at the forefront of the growing Melbourne Transport Network, securing major projects within the Rail sector.
As a result of our consistent growth, RCR are now looking for a Civil/Structural experienced Project Engineer to work on upcoming projects arising within the businesses Transport Division.
Joining at the design phase, this role will advise, coordinate and administer construction engineering activities to ensure that the projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs and specifications to achieve project time and budget objectives.
DUTIES
- Interpret designs for implementation in construction projects
- Review and improve existing designs, as appropriate
- Monitor construction progress for adherence to programme and report to the Project Manager
- Supervise designated direct labour and sub-contractors. Assign work and assist with reviews for accuracy and adherence to required standards
- Observe & implement safe systems of work relevant to your work area and report potential hazards
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline
- Proven Engineering experience on relevant infrastructure works, preferably on rail projects
- Knowledge of the standards and procedures for design, construction, testing and commissioning for major infrastructure projects.
- Experience operating in environments requiring electrical safety systems.
- Principles and practices of construction management, risk management and project scheduling.
