The Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a qualified engineering manager specializing in Electrical and Electronics to lead a team of two in the technical solution development and project delivery into production.
The Responsibilities
- Design & release across truck & bus for Electrical & Electronic Systems
- Collaborate with external suppliers on co-development, resolve quality & field issues
- Support prototype and pilot builds and testing activities together with Product Validation and Manufacturing teams
- Manage End Of Line software release for production vehicle assembly
- Share and compare best practices & engage with Iveco global sites (Italy, Spain, Germany etc)
- Prepare and approve engineering drawings, parts lists and process improvements
- BOM accuracy, product cost control and reduction
- Coordinate feasibility studies of new development proposals
The Job requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering discipline or tertiary education with at least 5 years industry experience
- Experience in automotive wire harness design
- Vehicle network CAN bus knowledge & Vector tools
- Previous commercial vehicle industry experience working on vehicle electrical systems
- Good working knowledge of MS applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Knowledge of homologation (ADR’s ) and standards applicable to commercial vehicles
- Heavy Vehicle truck license advantageous
