The Quality Assurance Engineer is the focal point for all Quality Assurance functions and processes on assigned Programs and tasks and is responsible for providing “practical and hands on” application and achievement of Quality Assurance engineering requirements and objectives as defined from each Program specific Quality Plan.

Your responsibilities will include (not limited to):

This role will be responsible for maintaining the currency of the site Quality Plan and updating QA processes as the need is identified and will oversight and perform self-inspection and audit programs, records of inspections and audits, Quality Management System reviews, auditor training, and other quality-related documentation.

 In addition to this:

  • Perform Supplier Quality Assurance which includes assessments, audits and management of supplier product or service defects.
  • Ensure QA support to overall training system products and services.
  • Ensure the site’s quality metrics are current
  • Ensure applicable audit programs are fully implemented, documented, and cover applicable tasking in the contract,
  • Comply with audit schedules as directed by management.
  • Maintain quality records
  • Advise management where the quality of the site’s services could be improved,
  • Coordinate with management to ensure an effective trend analysis program.
  • Work with the government and key contractor personnel to resolve quality problems as directed by the site management.
  • Promote change management through process improvement and delivery of innovation and change.
  • Provide tailoring guidance for the development of Program specific processes, procedures and Instructions considerate of meeting
  • You will supervise the self-inspection and audit programs. In addition to this, you will develop and maintain records of inspections and audits, quality management system reviews, auditor training, and other quality-related documentation.
 

You will have skills and experience in:
To be successful in this role our ideal candidates will have the following competencies: 

  • Substantial understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards in Industry for quality assurance management.
  • Proven application of technical expertise with strong knowledge of other related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing and maintaining quality management frameworks to achieve operational objectives.
  • Sound knowledge of ISO 9001: 2015, Risk Management Standard AS31000 and application of same.
  • Knowledge in application of Military and Industry Regulations, Technical Airworthiness Maintenance Manual (TAMM) as they relate to Engineering or Technical environments.
  • Complete understanding in the application and use of Root Cause Analysis tools and models.
  • Experience in producing timely and accurate reports with a leaning towards statistical analysis particularly as it relates to Performance Measurement evaluation.
