On behalf of our Client, who is s a major participant in the global mineral sands sector we are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their team based at their South West Operations.
This ‘hands on' position will report to the Reliability Team Leader and will provide expertise as well as operational knowledge to ensure all South West Processing Operations are maintained safely and operating efficiently.
The core responsibilities of this role include:
- Support SW Operations in all aspects of electrical engineering, including HV, LV and Process Control
- Take a lead role in the Waste Heat Recovery Plant (WHRP) optimisation
- Minimise production downtime by investigating electrical failure events and taking actions to prevent recurrence;
- Maximise the profitability of the operations by optimising high cost electrical maintenance processes;
- Enhance performance by providing strong and clear leadership and mentoring of electrical maintenance and production staff;
- Oversee electrical maintenance strategy development and other critical processes as directed;
- Provide support to the Maintenance Departments from day to day running of the operation to longer term planning.
- High level of proficiency with Excel and other software packages including SAP would be highly regarded.
- The ability to demonstrate drive, leadership as well as commitment along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
To be successful for this role you will possess tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline and have a solid understanding of heavy industrial process plants.
