About the Organisation
As a leading established land development consultancy based in Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula, our client is well known for its innovative and creative solutions in design and development within the land development industry. Due to growth and development and with the onset of major new land development projects, an opportunity has now arisen for a talented and driven Senior Civil Design Engineer in Land Development to join their expanding team.
About the Opportunity
Working within a small, collaborative and dynamic team, your key responsibilities will include the following:
- Deliver professional civil engineering design, drafting & documentation services ensuring all professional standards are met.
- Design roads, drainage systems, water & sewer reticulation systems using 12d 3d design technical software (MIcrostation, AutoCAD).
- Ensure all design requirements meet design specifications, guidelines, quality & process controls.
- Oversee and supervise Draftspersons in the preparation of engineering plans.
- Maintain design standards and make recommendations to Engineering and other parties.
- Effectively liaise with and consult with client, authorities, designers and attend project status meetings as required
About You:
To be successful in this role, you have the following skills and experience:
- Civil Engineering Degree qualifications
- At least 7 years’ experience in the design/drafting of roads, drainage, sewer & water infrastructure for land development and/or infrastructure projects.
- Competence in the use of design software including AutoCAD, 12D, Microstation & knowledge of the relevant drafting standards.
- Strong Team Player with the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal & stakeholder relationship management skills.
