My client is a tier one provider of telecommunications systems to Australia's leading one mobile operators. With a well-known and respected brand in the market, they have been successfully operating for several decades and continue to expand. Due to growth within the organisation there is a fantastic opportunity available for a Project Engineer to join the base station deployment team.

The key aspects of the Project Engineer role will be to:

Provision of base station design expertise and support to internal departments
Design of base station sites for upgrade as per scope
Liaise with internal/external resources for the delivery of design, tendering, and site inspections
Maintenance of real time progress and weekly client reporting for all works on both internal and external databases
Ad-hoc reports as required by the client from time to time
Agreeing of variation instructions, compensation events and change requests and negotiation of valuations and final accounts
Preparation of quotes
Liaising with all parties at all levels of the business
Process management and development

To be considered you will need to have:

Experience working in the telecommunications industry in Australia
A minimum of two years experience working in this exact role, i.e as a project engineer
Client relationship management
Working knowledge of Construction Design Management Regulations
Experience of installation and commissioning on BTS/Node B equipment with variety of vendors, preferably experience in BTS swaps
Supplier management
H&S Management
Commercial awareness - Costing and benchmarking
Knowledge of Construction practises and techniques
Rules, regulations, laws and bi-laws applicable to the Construction and Telecommunications Industry in Australia
Administrating and managing framework agreements with Sub-Contractors
