We seek an Electrical Project Engineer to provide technical support to the Gwalia Extension Project (GEP) Team to plan and deliver the GEP electrical works on budget, to schedule and within the scope.
You will be accountable for:
- Delivering successful project outcomes measured in terms of safety, time, cost and quality
- Coordinating the underground electrical commissioning process for the Paste Aggregate Fill (PAF) element of the GEP project
- Developing contract documentation including scopes of work, scopes of services, technical specifications, and execution plans
- Assisting in managing site contractors in the execution phase of the project
- Conducting risk assessments and design reviews
- Assisting in budget planning and forecasting
- Continuous improvements in project electrical design and execution by utilising the St Barbara standard for management of change and business improvement
You will have:
- A proven track record managing small projects
- A degree qualification in Electrical Engineering
- Current unencumbered Australian Driver’s Licence
- Ability to produce a National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3 months) for site access purposes

This is a full time, 12 month maximum term role offered on an 8 day on / 6 day off roster FIFO from Perth, DIDO from Kalgoorlie or Residential Leonora.
Gwalia is Australia’s deepest trucking gold mine with expansion plans to enable mining to advance more than 2km below the surface.
