Your role

It takes a special breed of engineer to fit and maintain the state-of-the-art electrical systems that control advanced military helicopters.

In this demanding role you'll manage the highly-trained tradespeople and technicians who maintain formidable aircraft such as the:

  • ARH Tiger Armed Reconnaissance Helicopter
  • MRH-90 Multi-Role Helicopter
  • Chinook, and
  • Black Hawk.

You and your team will plan, install, analyse, maintain and troubleshoot:

  • instruments
  • flight control systems
  • navigation systems
  • display systems
  • radar, and
  • communications systems.

Your well-equipped workshop could be anywhere from an Army base in Australia to a deployment overseas. In every location you'll tackle an absorbing variety of highly technical tasks, working at the leading edge of aerospace technology.

Entry Requirements

  • Aged 17 to 56
  • Australian Citizen
