This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Structural Engineer to move into a permanent, secure role at one of Melbourne's leading Structural Engineering consultancies.
  
Based on the fringe of Melbourne's CBD, our client has developed an enviable reputation for successfully delivering a range of building projects throughout Victoria. 
  
As a result of a continually growing project workbook, they are looking to employ an additional Structural Engineer on a permanent basis.

Typical projects include high-rise residential and commercial buildings, shopping centres, hospitals and aged care facilities as well as a range of high end mixed use development:

As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for both structural design and analysis, as well as the management of projects.

More specifically, your responsibilities will include: 

• Structural design and analysis of RC, steel, timber and masonry
• Overseeing projects and ensuring they are delivered on time and to budget.
• Completing site inspection and coordinating with builders
• Liaising with architects and clients
• Coordinating structural drafters
• Assisting in the development of junior engineers 

Suitable candidates will have: 

• Completed their Bachelor of Engineering
• Circa 4+ years experience working within a consulting environment
• Extensive experience in the design or RC, steel, timber, pre-cast concrete and masonry
• Past experience working on medium scale commercial, residential and institutional projects
• Comprehensive knowledge of relevant BCA and standards
• Previous experience in the management of projects from conception to completion
• Extensive experience liaising with various project stakeholders
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills
• Excellent time management skills 

While the estimated salary for the role is approximately $80,000 to $110,000, there is flexibility and each application will be treated individually.
