MECHANICAL ENGINEER

UniGrain has a proud and successful record in the cereal, grain and pulse milling in Australia with operations spanning both the east and west coasts of Australia and a staff base of over 120 dedicated employees.  UniGrain's focus is the manufacture of oat cereal product for breakfast cereal markets across Australia, New Zealand, Asia and South Africa.  It is also produces a significant amount of stockfeed pellets.  UniGrain mills oats from both its Victoria and West Australian mills and have now grown to become one of the largest users and millers of oats in the Asia Pacific region.

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join the dedicated team at our Wagin, Western Australia site. 

Our Mechanical Engineer, is responsible for planning and overseeing the operation and maintenance of mechanical plant and installations.

This role is permanent and on-going with rotating shifts as our Mill operates 24/7.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• overseeing the mechanical mill equipment, 
• developing equipment, piping, material flows, capacities and layout for the milling equipment
• establishing standards and policies for installation, modification, quality control, testing, inspection and maintenance according to engineering principles and safety regulations
• inspecting milling machinery to ensure optimum performance is maintained
• Daily monitoring of milling equipment

To be successful in this position you will have the following:

• A formal engineering qualification (preferred)
• Experience in pellet manufacturing (preferred)
• A flexible & professional approach to work, with the ability to multi task
• Motivation to succeed & achieve results
