About the role

They are currently seeking an experienced Civil Designer to join their Built Environment team Sydney CBD. You will be working in a design team delivering buildings and land development projects from concept design through to completion using AutoCAD, 12d, Civil 3d.

This new role represents a fantastic opportunity for a person with approximately 5 to 10 years of experience who is looking for a new challenge and career development. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering civil design for buildings and land development projects which will include earthworks, grading, road design, stormwater drainage and ancillary facilities. 

This role will give you the option to work across sectors such as buildings, urban development and transport.

For this role you will:

• Design Documentation of roads, earthworks, drainage and services in AutoCAD, 12d and Civil 3d.
• Have the ability to design in AutoCAD/AutoDesk products to a high standard
• Ability to prepare civil designs in Civil 3D is a must
• Experience in drafting of infrastructure projects
• Highways/earthworks design
• Ability to explain design/drafting techniques other users
• Able to develop and implement processes and procedures
• Comprehensive knowledge of Australian and local design standards

About the candidate 

The successful applicant will have:

• 5 to 10 years’ experience in a similar role
• Ability to draft in AutoCAD/AutoDesk products
• Experience in drafting of infrastructure projects.
• Exposure to earthworks design including modelling in 12d and Civil 3d
• Ability to explain design/drafting techniques other users
• Able to implement CAD systems, processes and procedures
• knowledge with RMS, Austroads and Australian design standards

It will also be beneficial for the applicant to have:

• 3D modelling experience for civil infrastructure projects
• Knowledge of ProjectWise or other common data environments
