About the role and you:
We seek two ambitious and creative Professional level Engineers (Structures) to join our Fortitude Valley, QLD office. If you are fresh thinking, intelligent and eager to begin your career in our dynamic, progressive and supportive environment look no further!

ARRB’s Future Transport Infrastructure team is a specialised department offering infrastructure asset management services and advanced research to a range of public and private clients. The team has worked on key projects in Queensland and nationally and is a recognised leader in the field.

This successful candidates will have an understanding of Structures but also have done some developmental work in the Asset Management space – finding better ways to manage assets. Some experience with data analysis and management will also come highly regarded.

In this position you will:
• Assist in the delivery of highway structures asset management professional services including:
o Inspection and reporting
o Maintenance recommendation
o Maintenance specification
o Load rating assessment
• Assist in the delivery of research projects through ongoing research agreements (Austroads, TMR’s NACoE)
• Contribute to bids and tender responses
• Continue to develop your own professional expertise and understanding of specialisation.

We seek an individual who has:
• Civil Engineering degree with up to 3 to 5+ years relevant working experience (Masters / PhD would be highly regarded but is not essential)
• Willingness to travel locally and nationally for short periods of time
• Valid driver’s license or equivalent
• Working knowledge of Bridge Inspections
• Working knowledge of Structural Engineering
• Working knowledge of Asset Management
• Well developed analytical and technical skills
• Excellent report writing skills
• Ability to manage own time to achieve key milestones while adhering to tight deadlines
• Strong team work skills.
