About the role
Laing O'Rourke is recruiting for a Systems Manager to join the Central Station team based in Sydney. Laing O’Rourke is delivering a package of works on behalf of the NSW Government at Central Station as part of Sydney Metro City & Southwest. The project will see Laing O’Rourke renew Australia’s busiest commuter hub – building the new Sydney Metro platforms at Central and Central Walk, a new underground pedestrian link from Chalmers Street.
Key responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Engineering and Systems Manager the role is to manage the environmental, sustainability and quality teams on the CSM project. The role involves the overall management of these critical teams to ensure that the works are undertaken in accordance with the Contract Requirements including meeting the relevant approvals without impacting on the construction program and delivering on the key result areas for Laing O’Rourke and the client for these functions.
You will have
A relevant engineering degree combined with significant experience on large scale civil/rail projects, ideally in Australia.
You will also be able to demonstrate collaborative working with clients, across business units and with our delivery partners (JV’s, sub-contractors, consultants) sharing knowledge.
