Purpose of the role

As our Engineering Project Manager for the Victorian Primary Processing facility and you will be responsible for successful roll out of major capital projects. Accountabilities

  • Manage the engineering and associated financial costs for all capital project works on the site
  • Inspire and collaborate with the onsite suppliers and contractors to ensure they understand Ingham’s safety standards and always operate within these standards
  • Provide technical guidance for safety compliance for the site equipment and systems
  • Responsible to ensure new equipment has the relevant services and resources to achieve specified operations
  • To coordinate the installation of equipment whilst ensuring the facility remains as operational as practically possible.
  • To manage and control the project capital budget working within provided constraints and provide detailed financial reporting on status.
  • Work alongside the Engineering Reliability and Maintenance Planner to ensure all associated equipment routines and information are added to CMMS before commissioning
  • Ensure spare parts are added to CMMS before commissioning and are correctly logged and stored for future use
  • Responsible for the AutoCad ‘as built’ schematics as project progresses and accountable for the Microsoft project master ensuring 100% including data accuracy
  • Provide leadership of the site project management office group for this project
  • Support the wider plant team by giving insight on system and engineering design
  • Lead Site Energy improvement initiatives from identification of opportunities through to execution and measurement of outcomes

Skills required

  • Experience of complex capital equipment installation in a high care food processing environment
  • Demonstrated practical use of TPM, CMMS and LEAN/Six Sigma systems and techniques
  • Experience being the project lead on large engineering projects within the food industry
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships and influence senior stakeholders internal and external to the organization
  • Knowledge of relevant legislative and compliance requirements
  • Capability to challenge self and others whilst taking responsibility and accountability for decision
  • Experience monitoring compliance with safety policies and procedures
  • Advanced skills in AutoCAD, Microsoft Project and Excel

Qualifications/Licences

  • Tertiary qualification in either a mechanical or electrical engineering
